Students from TheCIL Self-Advocacy 101 class went to visit Mayor Libby Schaaf of Oakland in May to hand deliver letters they wrote about issues in their city. Mayor Schaaf invited the class into her main conference room at Oakland City Hall. She read each letter and told the students how she was going to address each of their concerns.
