How did you get involved with the Independent Living Movement?

Throughout my career I have always been drawn to nonprofit work. Upon learning more about the Independent Living Movement and Center for Independent Living I felt a pull to involve myself in any way I can in order to gain more knowledge on disability justice and disability rights, as well as be a part of such positive change.
