Disabled, Working, and Thriving Workshop Series

Join the Center for Independent Living for our “Disabled, Working, and Thriving!” workshop series. The second cohort of this series will be hosted through Zoom every other Friday from 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM beginning August 11th and lasting until October 6th.

The five-part workshop will focus on job searching, resume and cover letter building, interview preparation, workplace accommodations, disability disclosure, and more! Additionally, office hours will be available with our vocational training instructor/program coordinator, so attendees can work 1-on-1 with staff on resume/cover letter building, mock interviews, and go in depth into topic areas as needed.

Cohort 1: May 26, 2023 - Jul 21, 2023 (every other Friday)

Cohort 2: Aug 11, 2023 - Oct 6, 2023 (every other Friday)

August 11th: Job Search Prep & Resume Workshop
August 25th: Beginning Your Job Search
September 8th: Cover Letter Workshop
September 22nd: Interview Preparation
October 6th: Post Interview, Disability Disclosure, and Reasonable Accommodations

In October, to kick off National Disability Employment Awareness month, attendees from both cohorts will be invited back to attend a virtual panel of job search agency professionals. Our goal is to help support all attendees in landing a job where they can THRIVE!
